Hemp

Hemp is better for the environment. Cultivating 1 kg of Hemp requires 20x less water than for Cotton. Hemp is 4x more durable than Cotton. It naturally hypoallergenic, UV resistant and Thermo regulating. Hemp naturally reduces pests, so no pesticides are needed while cultivating.

Even though Hemp and Marijuana both come from the cannabis plant, they are grown for distinctly different uses and growing conditions. Hemp used for fabric does not contain THC. The difference of how they are grown determine how they're used. Marijuana is distinguished as a female flowering plant, while Hemp is a tall fast-growing plant which is primarily male without flowering buds.

Hemp fabric is made from long strands of fiber that make up the stalk of the plant.

These fibers are separated from the bark through a process called ‘retting’. These fibers are then spun together to produce a continuous thread that can be woven into fabric. Same as flax or also knows as linen.
